Leveling Up Your Characters

Experience points, challenge rating and leveling up of characters are parts of D&D that require access to an Official D&D Player’s Handbook and/or an Official D&D Starter Set. Therefore, we haven’t included it in our adventures. Leveling up requires a deeper degree of game knowledge and too many options for us to replicate in our 20-page DnD Quickstart Guide!

So long story short, if you have access to a Players Handbook and want to let your players level up, we use the optional rule that uses campaign achievement as the gateway to gain a new level. Not experience points. A simple rule of thumb is completion of an Adventure Trilogy is the requirement to achieve a new level.

Most of our recent adventures include tips on how to level up the adventure challenge for higher level characters.
